Why NorthStar Counseling Center?

Evidenced based research shows us that the best predictor of success in counseling is the positive relationship that is established betweeen you and your therapist. At NorthStar, we believe that your own generative self-healing capacities are the most important factor toward your growth. We believe that you have the capacity to find your own answers, helped along by an accepting and understanding therapist.  We look at  the problems you, your family, spouse or child present in a helpful perspective. We search for the barriers that prevent you or your loved one from changing while encouraging new and different ways of moving in a positive direction. We support our clients so that they best utilize their own intrinsic problem-solving skills. Our goal in this process is to help you become more empowered, self-aware and self-accepting.
